BIOGRAFIA
Bexhet Xheladini was born on 11.03.1956 in the village of Bresana, he is married and has three children. By profession he is a doctor – Occupational Medicine Specialist and Abdominal Ultrasonist.
One of the founders of the LDK Branch of Dragash. He has held a number of party functions. In the 31 years of existence in the LDK, he has been a member of the presidency, chairman of the Health and Social Welfare Committee, member of the Solidarity Committee. Twice a candidate for deputy in the Parliament of the Republic of Kosovo. Several times a delegate to the LDK electoral assemblies. Currently a member of the LDK General Council.
After the expulsion of miners from work by the Serbian government in 1990-91, he founded the association “FAMILY HELPS FAMILY” where 500 families from Opoja materially help 500 families of miners from Magura, Kishnica, Novoberde, etc.
Due to his activity in the formation of the Sanitary Service at the Municipal Headquarters of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kosovo, he was arrested and imprisoned by Serbian forces on September 11, 1993.
For his activity in the field of defense, the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kosovo promoted him to the rank of lieutenant.
In 1995, he founded the HANDIKOS association, which he led free of charge until the end of the war.
One of the organizers of the opening of the Secondary Medical School in Bresana, where she worked unpaid as an Anatomy teacher..
One of the founders of the “Mother Teresa” ambulance, where he worked as a volunteer doctor, while in his private ambulance from 1990 to 1999, he offered free health services to education workers and their families and social cases.
On April 14, 1999, he was mobilized as a doctor in the ranks of the KLA. He is a KLA veteran.
After the first local elections in 2000, he was appointed Director of the Directorate of Health and MS. In 2004, he was elected Chief Executive of the Municipality of Dragash until January 2, 2008.
